The Collections Working Group A Collections Group has been formed to:
- audit what collections exist within the Derwent Valley Mills WHS Partnership which relate to the World Heritage Site;
- discuss and agree criteria governing future collecting policy, including the subjects or themes for collecting;
- identify the period of time and/or geographical area to which collecting relates;
- discuss and agree limitations on collecting; and form an acquisitions procedure and policy.
In its first year this group submitted a successful bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund for funding to improve and promote the collections in the Derwent Valley accredited museums.
