Tours last approx. 45 minutes, including a visit to the Arkwright Experience. Please wear clothes and shoes you can move comfortably in. Suitable for 3+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please let your guide know if you do not feel comfortable sharing equipment with the other members of the group, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Activities in the Education Room

Dig, build and play at Cromford Mills this February half term! Explore how the world around the mill was shaped by Richard Arkwright and his family, and have a go at building your own country estate. Use our natural materials or get messy with our sandbox! Then borrow our clipboards and go exploring. Can you make it to the top of Scarthin Rock? What can you see? Draw the view or take a picture and share it with us on social media #Cromfordviews

Please note, children need their grown-ups with them to enjoy our activities. Please wash your hands after playing in the Education room and take care on our old, historic site.
