Knit and Natter

At the Knit and Natter sessions you can come along on your own or with a friend, and have a cup of tea/coffee and a chat with the friendly locals who come along each week. Meet new people, share hints and tips, swap patterns, or learn a new skill.

Exhibition telling the story of the Pentrich Revolution remembered this year on its 200th anniversary. There’ll be experts to answer questions and talk about the commemorations being held this year.
Makeney to the Market Place

Starts outside the Hollybush Pub, Makeney, DE56 0RX, ends Market Place, Belper. 3.5 miles, easy walking but not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, wheelchairs or pushchairs.

A linear walk with Adrian Farmer through 1000 years of Belper and Milford history. Takes in ancient routes, Enlightenment-era radicals and the changing landscape of the World Heritage Site.
Derby by Time Machine
Time: 7pm to 9pm
Venue: St Mary’s RC Church Hall, Derby, DE1 3AX

Light-hearted talk in which we travel back in time six times to meet Derby people who give first hand accounts of events they experienced. It includes a look at how the places that these events occurred look today and some tips on how one really can travel in time.
