Art and Archive Talk and Short Tour
An opportunity to hear a short talk about the John Smedley Archive and to see some of the modern artwork that the company has commissioned since 2017. This has included the creation of bespoke pieces by painter ‘Doris A Day’ in the Jermyn Street Store in 2017, metal sculptures created by Guy Haddon-Grant and, most recently, installations by Robert Montgomery and Greta Bellamacina. The paintings and sculptures have been linked to the launch of the John Smedley fashion collections and have been feature in their London stores. They are now on display in Derbyshire for the first time.
Time: 10.30am to 11.30am and 1.30-pm to 2.30pm
