Description

Find out all about the Cromford Canal and Cromford and High Peak Railway with the knowledgeable Engine House Wardens as they guide you around the working Middleton Top Engine.  A leisurely walk down the High Peak Trail, to discover more about this fascinating ground-breaking railway, will finish at Leawood Pumphouse, which will also be in steam.

Meet: High Peak Junction car park for shuttle service to start point at Middleton Top.
Equipment: Sensible shoes, suitable clothing and packed lunch to enjoy at Middleton Top.
Costs: £3 adults, £1.50 children and concessions (under fives free).  Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children): £7.50.  Parking charges apply.
Location: OS ref SK314 560 (no postcode).  Follow the brown tourist signs from Cromford.
