Leawood Pumphouse in Steam
Working steam powered beam engine built in 1849 on the Cromford Canal, a short walk from High Peak Junction. Watch the engine, powered by a coal fired boiler, as it pumps 800 gallons of water per stroke from the River Derwent into the canal.
Time: 12 noon till 4.30pm
Cost: free admission, donations welcome.
No need to book, just call in.
