D3-D3B WILDLIFE GUARDIANS
The Wildlife Guardians project aims to engage local people of all ages with the wildlife of the Lower Derwent Valley. This will be achieved through a programme of walks and talks, family learning activities, youth ranger sessions and practical training events. People will be encouraged to participate in the DerwentWISE Scheme by recording wildlife sightings and helping to manage wildlife habitats.
D3-D3B WILDLIFE RANGERS
Wildlife rangers will encourage young adults and families to take part in practical conservation tasks such as scrub clearing, woodland enhancement, meadow creation and drystone walling. Activities will include a mixture of discovery walks, exploring biodiversity, bushcraft and conservation tasks and small creative projects. Certificates will be awarded for each skill set.
