THE very first screening of 'Samuel Slater - hero or traitor?' was held in Belper on 27 January. High production values, a talented cast, enthusiastic production and visionary direction - all on a very tight budget)- have gone towards making this highly successful local film about the man who started as an apprentice to Jedediah Strutt and then took his knowledge to America. Strutt's North Mill, Belper and the Tourist Information Centre in Ripley are selling the DVD, price £4 and they are available by post by logging on to the website www.samuelslater.co.uk |
