Programme Development Worker (Vital Valley). Derbyshire Adult Community Education service (DACES) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Programme Development Worker to support the work of the Vital Valley scheme. We have a vacancy to be based in the South area.
DACES’ Programme Development Worker will develop training courses to engage people with the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site and arrange work placements/traineeships in response to the needs of both learners and cultural venues in the Derwent Valley Mills area. The role also involves funding management and promotion work. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
DACES’ project is part of the Heritage Lottery and Arts Council funded Vital Valley scheme which is being delivered by the World Heritage Site team and their partners, of which DACES is one. Vital Valley brings more than £1m to deliver a series of projects designed to inspire and give people a sense of pride in Derwent Valley Mills which is the only World Heritage Site in the East Midlands. Activities as part of Vital Valley include volunteer training, digital projects, improving accessibility, learning programmes, marketing and engaging with new audiences.
