Freelance Marketing and Communications opportunity for High Peak and Hope Valley Community Rail Partnerships

 

Part -time: 2.5 days per week (1.5 days for High Peak and Hope Valley Community Rail Partnership (HPHVCRP) and 1 day for Derwent Valley Line Community Rail Partnership (DVLCRP). This fixed-term contract will cover 48 weeks’ paid work each year for two years.

Site Maintenance Officer at Cromford Mills

 

Cromford Mills are seeking a practical, reliable individual to help maintain our historic buildings, visitor spaces, and surrounding estate. You will play a key role in ensuring the site remains safe, secure, and well-presented, working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

They need someone with experience in general maintenance and caretaking, with a ‘can do’ approach and a good understanding of health and safety. You’ll be flexible, able to work independently and as part of a team and interested in working within a heritage tourism site.

Salary range: £24,785 per annum + benefits (12 month fixed term with possible extension) Full time – 37.5 hours per week (rota over 7 days) Closing Date: Monday 23rd February 10am

Volunteer Coordinator, Cromford Mills 

 

The Arkwright Society are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Volunteer Coordinator to support and develop the volunteer programme at Cromford Mills. The role exists to ensure that volunteering at Cromford Mills is well-managed, welcoming, consistent, and sustainable, enabling volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to the visitor offer and wider work of the site.

The post holder will work within the Engagement Team and will be responsible for recruiting, inducting, supporting, and coordinating volunteers, while helping to create the conditions for a positive volunteer culture. This includes working constructively with long-standing volunteers, supporting staff to take shared ownership of volunteer management, and ensuring volunteering continues to evolve in response to organisational pressures and opportunities.
