DerwentWISE Projects
DerwentWISE projects that will ‘inspire and enable us all to care for the Lower Derwent Valley’.
Over the duration of the five year scheme DerwentWISE delivered on 60 projects. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the partnership, volunteers and scheme office staff.
The projects were categorised into one of the four themes below, however many crossed over more than one theme.
Heritage Lottery themes:
- Conserving and restoring features of natural and cultural historic importance within the landscape
- Increasing community participation in local heritage in the area
- Increasing access to and learning about the landscape and its heritage
- Increasing training opportunities in traditional heritage skills
