Derwent Valley Line – Rail Services
Matlock, Derby line – There is now an hourly service between Matlock and Nottingham on Monday to Saturday, it stops at Derby and all stations along the Derwent Valley. There is also a regular Sunday service along the Derwent Valley Line.

Bus Services
Trent Barton serving the Derwent Valley
Trent Barton bus company has added 10 greener buses to one of is services which connects Derby with a number of county towns.
The buses, which emit less nitrogen dioxide than a new diesel car, have joined its sixes service, which connects Derby with Belper, Matlock, Bakewell and Ripley.
The buses have striking graphics portraying landmarks on the routes into the heart of Derbyshire.
The ultra-low emission buses are now delivering cleaner and more comfortable journeys every 15 minutes between Derby and Belper, and twice an hour to Ripley and the hourly service to Matlock and Bakewell.

National Express Coaches – from further afield
National Express coaches offers cheap tickets to Derby. Coaches go from Nottingham, London Victoria coach station and other popular UK based locations. Alternatively call 08717 818178 (calls to this number cost 10ppm UK only, plus network extras).
Throughout the week visitors from other surrounding towns and cities can connect to these services at Derby, Matlock and Bakewell. Many other local bus services also serve the Derwent Valley Mills and additional services operate from many other locations to the Derwent Valley on Summer Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
