World Heritage Site Weekend Outdoor Exhibition
INTERNATIONAL WORLD HERITAGE SITE WEEKEND OUTDOOR EXHIBITION & ACTIVITIES
Join the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site in a celebration of art & heritage with family activities at Cromford Mills and along the Cromford Canal, for International World Heritage Site weekend on FRIDAY 16, SATURDAY 17 and SUNDAY 18 APRIL.
The weekend will include:
- “Moved To Create” – an outdoor art exhibition around Cromford Mill Yard, Cromford Wharf and along the canal to Aqueduct Cottage, featuring a selection of artworks by members of the public and participants in a variety of projects funded by the Great Place Scheme
- Activities & digital trail for families
- A ‘pick up and go’ booklet of creative drawing activities linked from the Cromford Wharf down to Aqueduct cottage suitable for any age
Throughout the weekend you can pick up your free sketch book and pencil from High Peak Junction visitor centre or Cromford Wharf. Each sketch book is full of drawing activities and suggestions for all ages. Take some time to stop, sketch and explore your creativity at different locations along the Cromford Canal including Cromford Mill Yard, Cromford Wharf, High Peak Junction Railway Workshops, Leawood Pumphouse and Aqueduct Cottage.
