NEW fully-funded workshops for businesses in the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site are taking place during February and March

Is your business based within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site? Join our new range of fully-funded workshops and gain the valuable tools and insights needed to help your business flourish.

These virtual workshops are open to all businesses based within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. Led by fully-trained professionals, the workshops break down complex business information into simple bite-sized pieces in an enjoyable learning environment.

Please note that each workshop is held over two dates, so please check you are available for both dates before booking a place. This does not relate to “How to do your own PR” which is on two stand-alone dates.

The workshops are being offered free of charge thanks to funding received from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England as part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site Great Place Scheme; and the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Growing and Developing the Visitor Economy within Derbyshire Project.

Using the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site story, heritage and history, the workshop will inform you how to make the most of this to support your marketing on and offline, use of hashtags and the value of ‘marketing collectively’ to raise the profile of the area, the World Heritage Site and your business. The workshop will also include useful facts and figures about this unique part of Derbyshire so that you can talk confidently about the area, becoming an ambassadors of this World Heritage Site.

World Heritage Site: Knowing who your customers are:
This workshop aims to provide you with the tools and insights to identify who your customers are, making your marketing more effective.

Do you know who your customer are? Once you start collecting data you may be surprised! This workshop will inform you about how to collect data, understanding the type of data to collect and how to identify who your customer base is, the importance of segmenting and keeping visitor data to be able to target your marketing for the best return on investment. You will also gain insights into how to target new customers and the best methods for attracting them to your business.
