STRUTTS AND BELPER MILLS – TALK

Jedediah Strutt made money from Hosiery and partnered with Richard Arkwright to build Cromford Mill in 1771. His family then built 8 mills in Belper & Milford. The innovative design of the North Mill & their philanthropic works shaped Belper and saw the town thrive. Many of their public buildings and amenities are still in use today. A talk by Keith Bailey with Friends of the Cromford Canal.
