You are invited to the bicentenary celebrations of Middleton Top Winding Engine. For one time only, 2 Fowler Ploughing Traction Engines (provided by Portobello Engineering Ltd) will connet steam to the cyclinders and power the engine on steam for the first time in decadesx. One not to miss!

See the world’s oldest beam engine of its type in action during this fun filled weekend. Discover how it pulled wagons up and down steep hills on one of the world’s first long distance railways. Food and refreshments, entertainment, gifts and demonstrations.
