Visit Leawood Pump to view the wonderful Victorian engineering of this powerful pumping engine. Not in steam today but an excellent opportunity to see the steam engine in all it’s glory. Find out about the history and working of the engine and climb the stairs to see a top view of the 27 ton beam. Directions: Park at High Peak Junction car park, signed from Cromford, or enjoy a pleasant walk of just over a mile along the canal from Cromford Wharf.
