Peace Doves in the Community

Derby Cathedral is delighted to welcome Peace Doves to the city from 23^rd April -12^th June 2022.

Peace Doves is a mass participation large-scale art installation, created by renowned sculptor and artist Peter Walker. It features around 8,000 paper doves suspended on ribbon above the nave of the Cathedral, accompanied by a soundscape from composer David Harper.

In the weeks and months leading up to the opening day, visitors to the Museum & Gallery and the Museum of Making are welcome to get involved in decorating paper doves that will form part of the installation.

Drop in to the Museum of Making (Throwing Room) from 18^th Feb – 15^th April and the Museum & Art Gallery (World Collection Gallery) from 20^th Feb – 15^th April to decorate a dove that will then become part of the art installation at Derby Cathedral.
