WALK: ON THE TRAIL OF SLATER THE TRAITOR – BELPER 250

Part of the Belper Walks Festival. Join Ian Hill on this 5.25 mile picturesque countryside walk to discover the early life of notorious Samuel Slater (‘Slater The Traitor’) and other areas of historical interest along the way. Starting at the North Mill, the walk takes you to the site of Slater’s family home, ‘New Mills’ (Milford) and the historic Holly Bush Inn for a refreshment break before returning to Belper via The Derwent Valley Heritage Way. Customers will also receive a Souvenir Map based on original hand drawing by local artist Andrew Spriggs. Well behaved dogs welcome.
