Accommodation in the Derwent Valley
If you’re planning to visit us in the Derwent Valley and you are looking for accommodation for a night or more, we have plenty of choice for you. We have luxury, chain and boutique hotels throughout the Valley. There are camp sites, glamping sites, caravan sites and log cabins too. As well as historic inns, bed and breakfasts, millworkers’ cottages and even a former nailmaster’s house.
You’re sure to find the perfect place to relax and enjoy your holiday here, whatever time of year you visit.
As there are so many, take a look at Visit Peak District and Derbyshire or Visit Derby. Of course, these sites feature only a fraction of the accommodation available in the area. So, we recommend you do some research and always check out reviews before you book.
Are you a school teacher, or a group leader looking for an exciting residential, with or without a programme of outdoor activities attached? Again, we recommend you research all your options, but here are some examples for you to check out. Both Lea Green and Mount Cook centres offer a flexible programme of activities, excellent accommodation options, including fully accessible rooms. Both are on the outskirts of the northern end of the World Heritage Site, but with easy access to it.
Or in the heart of the Derwent Valley, nestling in the stunning setting of Shining Cliff Wood is a small self-catering hostel, available for hire to groups of up to 20 people. Shining Cliff Hostel is the perfect, tranquil hideaway for family or group get-togethers, school groups and youth groups. Reconnect with nature and enjoy a peaceful retreat in an ancient woodland.
