Many artists, amateur and professional, unknown and famous, have shown interest in Arkwright’s Cromford Mills. Their surviving sketches and paintings have contributed much to what we know of its history, but should we rely on them as historical fact? Lead by our enthusiastic guide, loop round the site in a gentle walk from Cromford Mills to the village market place and back – to compare some of the historic views with what we can see today.
